4 Cyl 2.7L Yamaha Offshore 150 (Mechanical) Nizpro Tune (2008 - Present)

With the Nizpro performance tune, your 150 horsepower Yamaha outboard engine can increase to 191hp. It is worth noting that the 2.7L 150 produces ~170 hp from the factory, so there will be minimal effect on Holeshot and Top Speed. This tune will mainly decrease fuel consumption. Fuel Economy will vary by model and boat setup, but can increase by up to 15%.

To achieve optimal performance, your engine must run on a minimum 89-90 USA grade / 95-98 AUS grade octane fuel and adhere to recommended service intervals. Failure to do so may result in decreased performance and could potentially damage your engine.

NOTE: In our experience the 2.7L "mechanical" 150 outboard is the more common model, and the ECU part numbers all start with 63P-XX. These engines differ from the 2.8L counterparts in that they are "mechanical" meaning their throttle and helm are cable driven.

If you are strictly looking for speed, this tune is not for you. You might gain 1, maybe 2 mph on a single engine if you're lucky. On twin engines we have seen 3-4mph, but the main benefit of this tune is a substantial increase in fuel economy.
