Tampa Marine Tuning is one of the few shops offering Fastboards Marine Technologies performance tunes for the 3-cylinder, 0.75L (747cc) Mercury FourStroke.
This tune takes first-generation FourStroke engines from 40 to 60 horsepower, a 50% jump in output on a small block.
More Power Needs Better Fuel
More power out of the same engine means less margin for cutting corners. This tune requires a minimum of 91 octane. That's the requirement, not a recommendation.
You didn't buy this engine expecting to push it past factory output, but now that you can, the fuel side of the equation matters just as much as the tune itself. This isn't a "you'll notice a difference" warning. Run below 91 octane and you're putting the engine at real risk. We're not exaggerating for effect.
Air Restrictor Removal Required
To reach the full 60 horsepower, this tune requires an air restrictor removal alongside the flash. It's a real hardware step, not an optional add-on, so plan on having it done at the same time as the tune rather than after the fact.

Remote tuning customers must remove and ship their ECU to us. Timelines are completely dependent on the outgoing and inbound shipping speeds you choose. Expect a 24 hour turnaround once it reaches us.
