124hp or 152hp? Take Your Pick
Tampa Marine Tuning now offers Fastboards Marine Technologies performance software for 40-60hp Mercury 1.0L inline-4 models, across FourStroke and SeaPro (60R coming soon). Depending on your engine and stage, you're looking at an advertised gain of up to 40 horsepower, with improvements in hole shot, top speed, and cruising efficiency.
Every model in this lineup sees a real jump in output.
More Power Needs Better Fuel
More power out of the same engine means less margin for cutting corners. Stage 1 requires a minimum of 91 octane. Stage 2 requires a minimum of 93. That's the requirement, not a recommendation.
This isn't a "you'll notice a difference" warning. Run below the specified octane and you're putting the engine at real risk. We're not exaggerating for effect.
Restrictor Plate Removal Required
The 115hp comes from the factory with an unrestricted inlet. The 75, 80, 90, and 100hp don't, so reaching Stage 1 or Stage 2 power on these models requires a restrictor plate removal alongside the flash. It's a real hardware step, not an optional add-on, so plan on having it done at the same time as the tune rather than after the fact.
Cam Upgrade Required for Stage 2 (75-100hp models)
The 115hp also comes with the cam these smaller models need to hit full Stage 2 output. To get the 75, 80, 90, and 100hp up to that same spec, Stage 2 requires a camshaft upgrade in addition to the flash. This is a more involved job than a typical tune and should be handled by an experienced marine mechanic. Call us for details before ordering Stage 2.
Pick Your Stage Before You Order
Stage 1 and Stage 2 aren't a toggle you flip later. Each one is a specific calibration flashed to your ECU at the time of purchase, matched to the fuel and hardware it's built for. Know what you're after, confirm your octane and hardware situation, and order the stage that matches your plan.
⚠️ Important Fuel Note
STAGE 1: Minimum 91 (R+M/2) / 95 RON grade octane fuel.
STAGE 2: Minimum 93 (R+M/2) / 98 RON grade octane fuel.
Running below these minimums will damage your engine. Stick to your service intervals.
